Prell Gross

I consider myself to be intentional and purposeful, yet a laid-back and relatable clinician. With more than 13 years of experience, I recognize that counseling isn't easy and know that you need a healthy environment that is safe and nonjudgmental for the work you're about to do. That's why I work as hard as you to facilitate a healthy therapeutic environment where you feel comfortable enough to be you. The real you. The raw you. I believe that's when the right work gets done! During services received, I believe you'll enhance solutions you already possess, learn new techniques and strategies to better manage your discomfort, identify realistic solutions, and gain additional insights about yourself, your relationships, and how your environments impact your wellness.

It's been very gratifying to provide supportive counseling to people who are in emotional distress and/or experiencing behavioral challenges. There's little more rewarding than seeing an individual grow in the ways that feel the most genuine to them and overcome the challenges that brought them to counseling. I’ve provided services to individuals, couples, and families from over 20 different cultures and backgrounds. I'm a board-approved clinical supervisor for residents in counseling, the lead mental health consultant for a local Head Start program in my community, and a member of my local Trauma-Informed Care Network. I have provided care for and supervised programs for some of the most intensive services in mental health across Virginia. I love what I do and all I ask is this - Come as you are and let me help you leave as who you want to be. I look forward to working with you!
